Tutorial Thursday: Chopsticks Stand

I thought for this week's tutorial, I'd do something fun. :)

Everytime I go out to sushi with family/friends, I always make this little chopsticks stand out of the wrapper. It's cute and it makes me feel like it has some use before it goes into the garbage.

I'll show you how to make this. ^

Step 1: Take chopsticks out of wrapper -- I usually do this by tapping the flat part of the chopsticks out so the chopsticks poke out on the other end of the wrapper. If you tear the wrapper down the middle to take the chopsticks out, it will be very difficult to fold the paper later.

Step 2: Fold the wrapper in half.

Step 3: Fold the wrapper in half again.

Step 4: Fold any corner down to make a triangle. Do this on all four corners.

Step 5: You should have have impression lines. On the short side (the width), you should be able to push the triangle in to make a little boat-like shape.

Boat like shape ^

Step 6: Lightly press the center of the bottom of the "boat" to create a small curve the chopsticks will lie on. Fin. :)
